Encountering Peace: Israeli-Palestinian peace is achievable

This agreement is possible. The concessions within are not losses but gains and both sides will be able to stand tall and declare peace and victory.
...........................................................................................
3. Jerusalem – Israel will have full sovereignty over all of the parts of Jerusalem where Israelis live. Jewish Jerusalem will be united and recognized by the whole world as Israel’s capital. Palestine will have full sovereignty over all of the parts of Jerusalem where Palestinians live. Palestinian Jerusalem will be united and recognized by the whole word as Palestine’s capital.

Jerusalem will be like Siamese twins – connected at the most sensitive points and therefore will remain an open city with free movement throughout.

Both parts of Jerusalem will share many aspects of infrastructure and most importantly, both sides will be responsible to work together to provide real security throughout the city. The Old City and holy places will either work on the same demographic principles or will be managed by agreement by others on behalf of both peoples. The Temple Mount/Haram al Sharif compound will see the transformation of current realities into agreements with the Muslim authorities in control on top of the Mount over the mosques there and Jewish authorities in control of the Western Wall.

This arrangement can hold at least until the Messiah comes, who can make changes then if the reality allows for it.  read full article: http://www.jpost.com/Opinion/Columnists/Article.aspx?id=303971

Revealed: Russia's double dealing on arms to Assad regime leaves UK isolated over Syria

Russia has been accused by Western diplomats of reneging on a pledge to stop supplying arms to the Syrian regime. The assurances made over a month ago were presented by British officials as a sign that the Kremlin was distancing itself from President Bashar al-Assad and his ruling coterie.
The flow of arms has, however, continued unhindered with the Russians stressing that there was no United Nations prohibition on supplies and it was simply fulfilling its contractual obligations. As well as air- and naval-defence systems, the Kremlin may now be preparing to send Yak-130 jets which can be fitted with missiles to carry out ground attacks, according to American and European officials.

Iran is taking same path to nuclear weapons as North Korea, says Ban Ki-Moon

Two days after North Korea carried out its third nuclear test, Ban Ki-Moon said Iran was on the same path towards the covert development of a nuclear weapon.
...............................................................
Mr Ban said that North Korea's example held lessons for how to deal with Iran's nuclear ambitions. "We should not give much more time to the Iranians, and we should not waste time," he told the Washington Post. "We have seen what happened with the DPRK [North Korea]. It ended up that they [were] secretly, quietly, without any obligations, without any pressure, making progress."

On Feb 26, Iran will hold direct talks with the world's six leading powers, including America, at a summit in Kazakhstan. It follows three rounds of negotiations last year. A Cup of Contemplation

                                                         A Cup of Contemplation

Who was Saint Malachy?

St. Malachy, a bishop, went to Rome at the request of Pope Innocent II in 1139, according to Catholic-Pages.com. St. Malachy received a vision that outlined a list of 112 popes, starting with Celestine II, who succeeded Innocent, and the last pope, Petrus Romanus, would signal the destruction of Rome as well as the end of the world. The Prophecy of St. Malachy was discovered and published by historian Arnold de Wyon in 1595. Wyon discovered the manuscript in Roman archives.
..............................................................
With the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, the 111th pope according to St. Malachy’s list, the last one is about to be elected. This pope is known only as Petrus Romanus, or Peter the Roman, as his election may bring the destruction of Rome and the apocalypse. According to the verse, Petrus Romanus, “In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End.” read full article:http://www.ibtimes.com/petrus-romanus-prophecy-will-next-pope-lead-apocalypse-1077696

Ahmadinejad Says ‘I Wish to Pray in Jerusalem’ – But Guess Who Needs to Disappear First

Ahmadinejad’s visit to Egypt is considered significant as it is the first visit of an Iranian leader to Egypt since Iran’s Islamic revolution in 1979. It is also an indication of how much Egypt has changed since President Hosni Mubarak’s fall from power. Both Mubarak and his predecessor President Anwar Sadat were vilified in Iran and other Muslim countries for honoring the peace treaty with Israel.
.............................................
Morsi, who spent much of his political career in the Muslim Brotherhood, traveled to Iran in August. It was also the first time since 1979 that an Egyptian leader visited Iran.
............................................
Morsi’s cultivation of ties with a regime that has stated a commitment to destroying Israel and that is defying international sanctions by continuing work on the clandestine elements of its nuclear program has thus far made no impact on U.S. military aid to Egypt. Just this Sunday, an American military delegation delivered four F-16 fighter jets to Egypt.
The Obama administration has not given any indication it is weighing a change or a scale-back in military aid, but Republican senators sent President Obama a letter last week asking the administration to delay the delivery of an additional 16 F-16s expected to be delivered in 2013.

Iran to Install Thousands of New Centrifuges for Nuclear Enrichment

Western diplomats say Iran intends to greatly increase the speed of its uranium-enrichment program.
Diplomats told the Associated Press and Reuters on January 31 that Tehran informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that it plans to install thousands more modern uranium centrifuges at its Natanz nuclear plant. That could enable Iran to refine uranium two or three times faster than is currently possible. read full article:http://oilprice.com/Alternative-Energy/Nuclear-Power/Iran-to-Install-Thousands-of-New-Centrifuges-for-Nuclear-Enrichment.html

UN panel concludes Israeli settlements are illegal

UN fact-finding mission says the Israeli government's settlement policy has clearly violated the rights of Palestinians and breaches one of the Geneva Conventions.

The panel's report to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva – the UN's first report on the subject as a whole – says the settlements exist for the exclusive benefit of Israeli Jews, creating a system of total segregation.

The investigators called on Israel on Thursday to halt settlement expansion and withdraw all Jewish settlers from the West Bank. read full article:http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4339561,00.html
