Understanding the Beginning of Sorrows

                                      Understanding The Beginning of Sorrows
                                                          (birth pains)

Jesus gave many signs to his disciples when they ask him for answers concerning the end of days and about his returning to earth. Jesus told them there would be wars and rumors of wars, earthquake in different places, famines and diseases and that knowledge would increase. Jesus said there would be signs in the moon and the stars. It was spoken of how man morals would become worse and worse. All these signs would increase in speed and intensity as was compared to a woman giving birth. In the book of Revelations it is told how Christ believers would become lukewarm and fall away from their faith. Jesus through His words drew pictures through parables depicting his coming.

He told us the parable of the Fig Tree to show us we could recognize that very season and told us the parable of the Ten Virgin in warning us to keep our lamps lit and ready for his coming. Jesus told us like the days of Noah would this day be for those that are not watching for his coming. For these he would come as thief in the night but for those watching, they would know and prepare for that glorious day and reach out to others with the good news of comfort.

Knowledge has increase so fast that we now know how vulnerable our world has become with, asteroids, comets and solar flares. We have access to news feeds on an hourly bases of when, where and how intense earthquakes are a curing across the globe. NASA watches closely the flares of the Sun to report the dangers to the earth.

There are many mysteries in Crop Circles, Ancient Artifacts, and Monuments. We have access to many theories concerning these mysteries that leave us perplexed and to some may question their faith due to only theories.

The Doomsday of the Mayan Calendar Count was experienced worldwide thanks to knowledge increase in satellite communications. So much that there was fear of mass suicides taking place in many locations where groups had gathered.

I have written the above for an example of the Signs that Jesus has given to us. To not be shaken in these times but to find comfort in knowing all these things must take place. Keep your lamps lit and ready , watch in prayer, and may you hold fast to the promises of God.

Israel 'preparing for collapse of Assad regime in Syria'

Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting, Mr Netanyahu said such an event would have "implications" for Syria's stockpile of chemical weapons.

Israel and the US fear the weapons could fall into the hands of radical Islamists fighting Mr Assad or the Lebanese Shia group, Hizbollah.

"We are monitoring developments in Syria, where there are dramatic developments almost daily," the Israeli prime minister said. read full article:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/israel/9763736/Israel-preparing-for-collapse-of-Assad-regime-in-Syria.html

15 Signs That The Ring Of Fire Is Waking Up As We Head Into 2013       By Michael, on December 18th, 2012

The following are 15 signs that the Ring of Fire is waking up as we head into 2013…

#1 Mount Lokon, which is located in Indonesia, has erupted more than 800 times since July. On Monday, volcanic ash from the volcano reached heights of up to 10,000 feet.

#2 An “orange alert” had been issued for towns and villages near the Tungurahua volcano in Ecuador. On Tuesday it erupted and shot lava up to a half mile above its crater.

#3 Lava is still flowing out of the Tolbachik volcano which is located on the Kamchatka Peninsula. Anyone that has ever played the board game “Risk” knows where Kamchatka is located.

#4 Lava also continues to flow and ash also continues to rise from the Fuego volcano in Guatemala.

#5 On Tuesday, an ash plume more than 2.5 kilometers high had risen from the Paluweh volcano in Indonesia.

#6 There was an average of about 4 seismic events per hour at the Popocatépetl volcano in Mexico on Tuesday.

#7 Scientists recently discovered “one of the world’s weirdest volcanoes” on the floor of the ocean just off the coast of Baja, Mexico.

#8 Mt. Fuji (located not too far from Tokyo, Japan) has been dormant for about 300 years, but in recent months there have been increasing signs of activity there. One study recently found that a “magma chamber under the mountain has come under immense pressure“, and one prominent scientist is warning that Mt. Fuji is due for “a big-scale explosive eruption“. Authorities were alarmed when a tunnel leading to Mt. Fuji collapsed on December 2nd, killing 9 people.

#9 Scientists are now warning that there is a very dangerous build up of magma at a large number of Japan’s 110 active volcanoes.

#10 A magnitude-6.1 earthquake struck off the coast of Sulawesi, Indonesia on Monday.

#11 A magnitude-6.0 earthquake hit the New Britain region of Papua New Guinea on Saturday.

#12 A magnitude-6.5 earthquake struck the Gulf of Alaska in mid-November.

#13 A magnitude-7.3 earthquake hit Japan earlier this month.

#14 There has been a substantial increase in earthquake activity in the Long Valley caldera region of California, and authorities tell us that “magma is indeed moving down there“.

#15 Over one recent five week period, more than 170 significant earthquakes were detected in one town in Chile. That town is now being called “one of the shakiest places on earth”.

Iran making anthrax at secret plant

Russian scientists have helped Iran master four microbial agents for bombs, which the Islamic regime has used to arm 37 launch-ready missiles so far, sources have revealed.
................................

The scientists are working on 18 agents but so far they have developed four for weaponization, according to the source, who provided particulars on three of them:
  • Bacillus anthracis (anthrax). This bacteria was developed by the United States during World War II and through espionage was obtained by the Soviet Union, which has long mastered the production. Russian scientists have helped the Iranians to produce anthrax.
  • Encephalitis. The blueprint of this virus, Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis, was provided by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in an agreement two years ago with the Islamic regime.
  • Yellow grain. This third agent, developed with the help of North Korea but named “yellow grain” by the Iranians, has no smell and upon impact will destroy the body’s defensive system. Victims would have a hard time walking or breathing within hours and slowly their digestive systems would be destroyed, likely followed by death within 48 hours. read full article:http://www.wnd.com/2012/12/iran-making-anthrax-at-secret-plant/

Sun Flares

QUIET SUN, BUT NOT FOR LONG? For the second week in a row, solar activity remains very low, but a new group of sunspots could be poised to break the quiet. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory observed the phalanx of dark cores emerging over the sun's southeastern limb on Dec. 15th:
It is too soon to say whether these spots have potential for strong flares. We'll know more in a few days when they turn toward Earth, offering a clearer view of their magnetic architecture. Meanwhile, NOAA forecasters have boosted the odds of an M-class eruption to 10% on Dec. 16th. Solar flare alerts: text, voice.

Syrian rebels defy US and pledge allegiance to jihadi group

Rebel groups across Syria are defying the United States by pledging their allegiance to a group that Washington will designate today a terrorist organization for its alleged links to al-Qaeda.
A total of 29 opposition groups, including fighting "brigades" and civilian committees, have signed a petition calling for mass demonstrations in support of Jabhat al-Nusra, an Islamist group which the White House believes is an offshoot of al-Qaeda in Iraq.
The petition is promoting the slogan "No to American intervention, for we are all Jabhat al-Nusra" and urges supporters to "raise the Jabhat al-Nusra flag" as a "thank you".
..........................................................
Opposition fighters inside Syria told The Daily Telegraph that the US announcement was too little too late, and that any attempts by the West to intervene in Syria would be rejected. "We don't support the new FSA military command," said Ous al-Arabi, a spokesman of the Deir al-Zour Revolutionary council.

"For Deir al-Zour province they have chosen people who are not representative. Jabhat al-Nusra is the strongest group here and they ignored that.

"The people are not going to accept intervention by the West now. You were watching us die, and now that we close to victory you want to intervene? You are not welcome." read full article:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9735988/Syrian-rebels-defy-US-and-pledge-allegiance-to-jihadi-group.html

EU condemns Hamas rhetoric, Israeli settlement plans

Europeans denounces as "unacceptable" recent statements by Hamas leaders "that deny Israel’s right to exist," say Israeli plans to develop E1 corridor would "seriously undermine the prospects of a negotiated resolution."
...............................
"The E1 plan, if implemented, would seriously undermine the prospects of a negotiated resolution of the conflict by jeopardizing the possibility of a contiguous and viable Palestinian state and of Jerusalem as the future capital of two states," the EU claimed.
"In the light of its core objective of achieving the two-state solution, the EU will closely monitor the situation and its broader implications, and act accordingly," the statement concluded.

Israeli prime minister accuses world of ‘deafening silence’ over hostile Hamas rhetoric

The Palestinians say this project, known as E1, would deal a death blow to any hopes for peace since it would separate the West Bank from east Jerusalem, their hoped-for capital, and drive a deep wedge between the northern and southern parts of the West Bank by creating a string of settlements jutting nearly halfway across the West Bank.
Israeli officials say construction on the E1 project is years away. But the country has come under fierce criticism by its closest allies, the U.S. and major countries in Western Europe.
...........................................

Sweden’s foreign minister, Carl Bildt, said the Israeli construction plans have caused “extreme concern” in the 27-nation EU. “What the Israelis did on E1 has shifted opinions in Europe,” Bildt said as he arrived for the meeting. “I don’t think the Israelis are aware of this.” read full article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_east/israels-prime-minister-accuses-international-community-of-favoritism-for-palestinians/2012/12/10/7ca186e6-42e4-11e2-8c8f-fbebf7ccab4e_story_1.html

Assad's last warning to rebels before using chemical weapons, West , Israel on high preparedness

The danger that Syrian ruler Bashar Assad will now resort to chemical warfare shot up Saturday afternoon, Dec. 8, after the rebels captured the “chloride factory” at Al Safira east of Aleppo. This is a codename for the Syrian army’s biggest chemical weapons store and base, which also houses Syrian Scud D missiles armed with chemical warheads adjusted to fire at Israel. Assad’s warning to the rebels not to fight with chemical weapons is taken as a means of justifying his own resort to chemical weapons and brought this threat closer than ever before. The West, Israel and Syria’s other neighbors have gone on elevated preparedness. read full article:http://www.debka.com/article/22596/Assad’s-last-warning-to-rebels-before-using-chemical-weapons-West-Israel-on-high-preparedness

Japan earthquake brings small tsunami to northeastern disaster zone

A strong earthquake struck Friday off the coast of northeastern Japan in the same region that was hit by a massive earthquake and tsunami last year. A city in the region reported that a small tsunami had hit, but there were no reports of injuries or damage.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said the earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.3 and struck in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Miyagi prefecture at 5:18 p.m. (0318 Eastern). The epicenter was 6.2 miles beneath the seabed.

After the quake, which caused buildings in Tokyo to sway for at least several minutes, authorities issued a warning that a tsunami potentially as high as 2.19 yards could hit. Ishinomaki, a city in Miyagi, reported that a tsunami of 1 yard hit at 6:02 p.m. (0402 Eastern). read full article: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-202_162-57557719/japan-earthquake-brings-small-tsunami-to-northeastern-disaster-zone/

US: Sarin bombs ready for Assad’s “go” order. Israel's odd silence

American officials said Wednesday, Dec. 4, that they believed bombs had been made ready with sarin gas, but not yet loaded onto fighter planes and Assad had not issued the “go” order. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned President Assad once again that he would be crossing “a red line” if he used nerve gas against the country’s rebels.

A Cup of Contemplation

First thing each day I get a cup of coffee and head to the computer.  I start scanning worldwide news stories.  You may ask, what are you looking for?   Well, first of all , many stories never make it to the National News Stations or they dim not to report on them.  We are living in a very stressful times with wars and rumors of wars, earthquake, pestilences.  The earth is going through so many changes that one can't deny these are scary times.
There are many articles I do not post due to the band-wagon of doomsday groups.  I do not like to use the word doomsday in the first place.  However, I find the stories interesting and I start researching to verify their validity or links to debunk them.  With this in mind I have decided to add in my blog spot a blog called A Cup Of Contemplation .   These post will be of nature that I may or may not personally believe.

I have put my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and have found a peace that surpasses all understanding in knowing God is in control.

Israel Asked Jordan for Approval to Bomb Syrian WMD Sites

Anxiety is increasing about the prospect of a desperate Bashar al-Assad using chemical weapons against his rapidly proliferating enemies. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned Assad that such chemical weapons use would cross a U.S. red line: "I'm not going to telegraph in any specifics what we would do in the event of credible evidence that the Assad regime has resorted to using chemical weapons against their own people. But suffice to say we are certainly planning to take action."

This new level of anxiety was prompted by reports that Assad's forces have been moving chemical weapons, according to David Sanger and Eric Schmitt in The Times. They report that one American official told them that "the activity we are seeing suggests some potential chemical weapon preparation," though the official "declined to offer more specifics of what those preparations entailed."

The U.S. is not the only country worried about the possible use of chemical weapons. Intelligence officials in two countries told me recently that the Israeli government has twice come to the Jordanian government with a plan to take out many of Syria's chemical weapons sites. According to these two officials, Israel has been seeking Jordan's "permission" to bomb these sites, but the Jordanians have so far declined to grant such permission.  read full article:

Iranian military agents reportedly in North Korea ahead of ballistic missile test

A group of Iranian military operatives and missile technology experts are taking part in a test launch of a long-range ballistic missile in North Korea Sunday, Reuters reported.
The Iranians have been active in North Korea since late October, the agency reported, citing a Western official quoted by the Kyodo News Agency of Japan.
The group is reportedly based at a military base about 85 kilometers from the Chinese border and is assisting in missile and nuclear technology development for the North Korean military. Iran and North Korea signed a technology and science cooperation agreement in early September, and according to Reuters, US officials believe that Iran acquired ballistic missile parts from North Korea in 2010. read full article: http://www.timesofisrael.com/iranian-military-agents-reportedly-in-north-korea-ahead-of-ballistic-missile-test/

Abbas returns home to hero’s welcome, but faces fresh punishment from Israel

RAMALLAH, West Bank — Returning to a hero’s welcome Sunday after gaining limited recognition of statehood at the United Nations, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas faced fresh punitive action by Israel, which froze the transfer of more than $100 million in tax revenue collected for his cash-strapped government.
The Israeli step was the second response to the vote last week at the UN General Assembly, which granted the Palestinians the status of a “non-member observer state.” On Friday, Israel said it would build 3,000 homes in West Bank settlements and in East Jerusalem, and would advance controversial settlement plans near the city in an area deemed critical for the territorial contiguity of a future Palestinian state. read full article:  Washington Post

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea is to carry out its second rocket launch this year in December as South Korea holds its presidential election in a move that will likely trigger diplomatic tensions between the two Koreas and censure from the United States and Japan.
State news agency KCNA said on Saturday that the launch of a rocket carrying a satellite would take place between December 10 and December 22.
North Korea says its launches are for peaceful purposes, although Washington and Seoul believe the isolated, impoverished state is testing long-range missile technology with the aim of developing an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.
North Korea undertook a similar launch in April that was aborted a few minutes into its mission. The North is banned from conducting missile or nuclear-related activities under United Nations resolutions.
The coming launch will take place around the time of South Korea's presidential polls on December 19 and close to the first anniversary of the death of former leader Kim Jong-il.
Kim died on December 17 last year and was succeeded by his son, Kim Jong-un.

The Pentagon is preparing to activate global missile defenses for an expected test launch of another long-range missile by North Korea, U.S. defense officials said.
Intelligence agencies are closely watching a North Korean missile launch site amid signs a test-firing will take place in the next two months, U.S. officials said, echoing reports from South Korea and Japan.

U.S. missile defenses are being prepared to counter the test-firing, should the missile threaten U.S. allies such as Japan or U.S. military forces in the region. The defenses include Aegis warships equipped with SM-3 anti-missile interceptors. Ground-based long-range interceptors based in Alaska and California also are being readied.
Other components of the missile-defense network include ground-, sea- and space-based sensors and radar used to detect missile launches and help guide interceptors to make high-speed hits on warheads.

Sun Flare Update

I am passing this on to you from  www.spaceweather.com

BIG SUNSPOT KEEPS GROWING: Sunspot AR1620 doubled in size again yesterday. It is now a behemoth almost 10 times as wide as Earth. A movie from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory shows the sunspot materializing over the past 48 hours:

So far the sunspot has been relatively quiet, producing no strong flares. However, the sunspot's magnetic field is rapidly changing as the sunspot grows, and rapidly-changing magnetic fields have a tendency to reconnect and erupt. NOAA forecasters estimate a 35% chance of M-class eruptions in the next 24 hours.   www.spaceweather.com

PRESTO! A HUGE SUNSPOT: Yesterday, sunspot AR1620 was barely visible. Today it is a behemoth wider than a half-dozen planet Earths. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the sunspot's rapid growth in a period of less than 20 hours on Nov. 25-26:
AR1620 has a beta-gamma magnetic field that harbors energy for strong flares. Because of the sunspot's proximty to the center of the solar disk, Earth would be in the line of fire of any eruptons. Obama's pledge of US troops to Sinai next week

Debkafile's military sources report that the first air transports carrying US special forces are due to land at Sharm el Sheikh military airfield in southern Sinai in the next 48 hours and go into action against the arms smugglers without delay.

This development is strategically significant for three reasons:
1. Once the missile and arms consignments depart Iranian ports or Libyan arms bazaars, Tehran has no direct control of their transit from point to point through Egypt until they reach Sinai and their Gaza destination. All the same, a US special forces operation against the Sinai segment of the Iranian smuggling route would count as the first overt American military strike against an Iranian military interest.
Netanyahu, Barak and Lieberman are impressed by the change the Obama administration has undergone since the president’s reelection. Until then, he refused to hear of any military action against Iran and insisted that Tehran could only be confronted on the diplomatic plane.
2. President Morsi, by opening the Sinai door to an American troop deployment for Israel’s defense, recognizes that the US force also insures Israel against Cairo revoking or failing to honor the peace treaty Egypt signed with Israel in 1979.

3. In the face of this US-Israel-Egyptian understanding, Hamas cannot credibly claim to have won its latest passage of arms with Israel or that it obtained guarantees to force Israel to end the Gaza blockade.
Indeed, Gaza’s Hamas rulers will be forced to watch as US troops in Sinai, just across its border, break up the smuggling rings filling their arsenals and most likely laying hands on the reserve stocks they maintain under the smugglers’ guard in northern Sinai, out of reach of the Israel army. This means that the blockade on Gaza has been extended and the focus of combat has switched from Gaza to the Sinai Peninsula. read full article:DEBKA files

The body of the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat will be exhumed on Tuesday, eight years after his death, in an investigation to establish if he was murdered, a Palestinian official said on Saturday.
A French court opened a murder inquiry in August into Arafat’s death in Paris after a Swiss institute said it had discovered high levels of radioactive polonium on his clothing, which was supplied by his widow, Suha.
Tawfiq al-Tirawi, in charge of the Palestinian committee overseeing the investigation, told reporters in Ramallah on Saturday “it is a painful necessity” to exhume the body of Arafat, who came to symbolise the Palestinian quest for statehood throughout decades of war and peace with Israel.
Tirawi said the Palestinians had “evidence which suggests Arafat was assassinated by Israelis”. Israel denies any involvement. read full article:http://www.lfpress.com/2012/11/24/arafat-body-to-be-exhumed-in-murder-inquiry

Abbas to Clinton: UN statehood bid to move forward

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday rejected US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s request to refrain from asking the UN to upgrade the status of a Palestinian state to nonmember.
Abbas relayed his position to Clinton during a meeting in Ramallah.
At the meeting, Clinton reiterated Washington’s opposition to Abbas’s statehood bid, chief PLO negotiator Saeb Erekat said.
“President Abbas told Clinton that we have taken a decision [to go to the UN],” Erekat said. “We are not interested in a confrontation with the US or any other country. We are practicing our right to establish a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with east Jerusalem as its capital.

Gaza conflict: Anonymous hackers target Israel

Here again is an article that states Israel as an aggressor to Hamas.  Honestly,  I shake my head with disbelief that people are so blind when it comes to Israel.  I suppose this organization thinks Israel should do nothing while schools and innocent civilian are targeted with missiles daily.

Article

The hacking collective Anonymous targeted Israeli government websites and briefly brought down the homepage of a Jerusalem-based bank over the weekend in retaliation for Israeli attacks on Gaza.

As the violence in the Gaza strip entered its sixth day, the Israeli government counted no fewer than 44 million hacking attempts over the weekend, the most successful of which have come from the leaderless cyber outfit.
Known for their distinctive use of imagery including the Guy Fawkes mask and a logo of a headless, suited man, Anonymous began updating a list of Israeli sites it had defaced or brought offline on Friday.

Hamas leaders on truce prospects: "Maybe Never"

I read how Hamas is stating they are the victim and that Israel is the aggressor. It is sad to know that there are people that will believe a lie, but this God foretold.  My prayers are with Israel, the true victim of Islamic hatred.

Article

Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Kandil told the Reuters news agency that the talks were making progress and that he expected a cease-fire agreement to come in the next few days.

However, at a press conference later in the day, Hamas leader-in-exile Khaled Meshaal showed no signs that an agreement was imminent, saying that it was Israel's responsibility to stop a fight it had started and that Hamas would only agree to a truce if key demands were met.

"We don't accept Israeli conditions because it is the aggressor," he told reporters in Egypt. "We want a cease-fire along with meeting our demands ... Israel has to stop killing and assassinating our leaders. They have to stop the invasion and end the blockade on Gaza." read full article: CBS News

Israel returns fire on Syria Golan, may have caused deaths

Israel fired artillery into Syria in response to gunfire aimed at its troops in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights, and may have killed Syrian soldiers, Israel's army said on Sunday.
There were no reported injuries on the Israeli side from the shootings, which occurred on Saturday, the third case this month of violence seen as a spillover of civil unrest in Syria that has also alarmed other neighbors such as Lebanon and Turkey.
"There was small arms fire (at Israeli forces), there was a response and from what I hear over Arab media it appears Syrian soldiers were killed," Brigadier-General Yoav Mordechai, Israel's chief military spokesman, told Army Radio. read full article:  REUTERS
